2018 GSO City Market
After taking a year off the GSO City Market is back and better than ever!
The GSO City Market is a downtown open air market featuring the best and brightest of the Triad of North Carolina. Held monthly on the 3rd Friday of the month from April to June from 6pm - 10pm, the market offers live music, great local food, vibrant art and performance, interesting people and talented artisans. It's the biggest market in Downtown Greensboro with an attendance of almost 40,000 people since its inception in 2013.
Each of the three 2018 GSO City Market will have their own theme: Past, Present, and Future. These themes will provide an intimate portrait of the people, places, and things that make up Downtown Greensboro. We will approach these topics through two parts; interactive tours, and art installations both of which will be approached through entertainment, celebration, and most importantly, fun! Through these, we will explore the history, current initiatives, and future explorations of the place we all know and love. Both the tours and art activities will be curated by the team of UNCG students and faculty at Greensboro Project Space, UNCG’s off-campus contemporary art center.
